Embassy Trust Suite is a commercial security software developed by Wave Corporation that is also included preinstalled free in some Dell Business Laptops.
The program offers different security options, most of them for access control using a password manager which support fingerprint and smart card readers plus TPM (which stands for Trusted Platform Module) Hardware encryption.
Thanks to Dell Bios and TPM support you can choose between different security layers, for example, let the program manage Windows Passwords or use Bios Password / Fingerprint to secure the whole system.
The software support Windows Xp and Vista, version 2.1 improve the user experience adding animated tutorials and wizard to perform common tasks such as fingerprint enrollment and Business Information encryption. I would recommend you to turn off any antivirus or internet security software while installing the product, since it can cause issues during the installation.
Besides the classic manufacturer logos, there almost no differences between the version Wave sells and the one Dell ships, the product can be installed from the disc provided by Dell or from their support website. |
